Launched: November 2008
UK relaunch of ‘History’ and the launch of ‘Military History’.
Briefed to ‘make history personal’, we used ‘shadows’ to connect past and present,
reminding the channel’s audiences of the many ways that our past has shaped our
present – and our futures. Idents for both channels were produced using a combination
of live action and CGI animation. On-screen information graphics were adapted from an
existing package produced for use internationally.
